I've never had the luxury of previous editions. . . but, after owning it for only a short time, I know I never part with it. Fascinating book. Much of the high ground back of the recipes, including the "why" and "what ifs". Sections include entertainment, table setting, menu suggestions, 30-minute dinners, cooking day - eat for a week, and more! The book is well written and accurate. Great illustrations. The variety of recipes is sufficient to meet the chef, but not intimidating to beginners! Definitely a book for all ages and skill levels!

The book had a little scam smushing small deck. If it had been for me, or a used item, I would not have mattered, but it was a gift for a young bride, and I would have preferred a more virginal unblemished copy.

They love to cook. They have an old edition of Joy of Cooking. I have used many times. Looking forward to break this book too.

I ordered and paid for through Amazon, "The Joy of Cooking" for my daughter. She has never received him. Further more, I have never received any correspondence concerning this product since I ordered. So far, my husband and I have been very pleased with Amazon — between the two of us have often used Amazon. I do not know that I will use Amazon again. I received absolutely no satisfaction.

the seller never sent me my book, never returned my e-mails or offered to refund my money. I do not know why. But regardless of why, Amazon came through me and got me a refund. Thanks Amazon! I appreciate the help. It's good to know that support their customers. :)
